Life Care and
Contract Options

Mt. San Antonio Gardens offers two contract choices to meet your individual needs: Life Care and Continuing Care. Life Care – long the hallmark of the Gardens – provides lifetime coverage for daily care costs, medications and medical care after an annual deductible is paid by the resident. Our Continuing Care contract is designed to appeal to those who have long term care insurance or adequate personal assets to cover a significant portion of the cost of assisted living or skilled nursing care they may require.

Life Care*

  • Life Care is one of the unique benefits of living at Mt. San Antonio Gardens.
  • Life Care covers Medicare co-pays and deductibles, after resident pays an annual out-of-pocket amount.
  • Life Care covers services, such as pharmaceuticals and in-home services, not typically covered by Medicare.
  • Life Care covers unlimited assisted living and extended skilled nursing. (Medicare covers only limited skilled nursing care and does not pay for any assisted living.)
  • If you move to higher levels of care, your monthly fee does not increase.
  • If you become financially unable to pay your monthly fee, you continue to receive the same quality care.
  • The entry fee for a Life Care Contract varies based on your age and your choice of residence. Please contact us for a personal consultation.

Continuing Care*

  • Continuing Care bridges the gap in Medicare coverage for physicians and hospital charges and covers prescription medications, with an annual deductible paid by the resident.
  • Continuing Care covers assisted living or skilled nursing for a total of 120 accrued days; additional days are charged at the current rate paid by non-Gardens residents; when a total of 850 days is accrued, monthly fees are reduced to the current monthly fee paid by Gardens' residents for unlimited stays.
  • If you become financially unable to pay your monthly fee, you continue to receive the same quality care.
  • The entry fee for a Continuing Care Contract is lower than that required for Life Care. The fee varies based on your age and your choice of residence. Please contact us for a personal consultation.
* A portion of the entry fee for both Life Care and Continuing Care contracts is considered an allowable medical expense by the Internal Revenue Service and may reduce the resident's tax liability.
